I know summer festival season is coming up, and unfortunately the last Warped Tour, but we’ve got an early warning for a group of shows coming up in the fall. The Self Help Festival will be held in two locations showcasing a variety of your favorite artists. The Self Help Festival was started by A Day To Remember in 2014 with the mission to “deliver a memorable event featuring bands with positive messages embodied in their music.”
“Music has always been therapy to us which is how we got the name Self Help. Our goal is for you to be able to, if even for just a day, escape everything going on and have a great time,” said Neil Westfall, a guitarist in A Day To Remember.
This year, Self Help will take place in two locations, one in Worcester, Mass., not too far from Boston, on Sept. 7 and the other in San Bernardino, Calif. on Oct. 12. They have the East Coast and West Coast covered but you need to travel a little further if you are in the Midwest.
The lineups for both locations have just been solidified and you will not be disappointed if you go to either date. For the Worcester, Mass. show, the lineup includes A Day To Remember, Falling In Reverse, Fever 333, Wage War, Whitechapel, This Wild Life and The Acacia Strain. The San Bernardino, Calif. show will have A Day To Remember, I Prevail, Beartooth, Periphery, This Wild Life, Set Your Goals, While She Sleeps, Angel Du$t, Can’t Swim and Elder Brother. I have seen A Day To Remember and I Prevail before so I’m positive that you won’t be disappointed with either date.
Looking at these bands, this will be a fairly diverse show so don’t wait to get your tickets. Tickets and more information can be found at http://selfhelpfest.com/. Hopefully we will be able to make it to the Worcester date so let us know if you will be there and we can meet up!
